SIX AXIS ROBOT FOR AUTOMATIC SPRAY PAINTING
The plant consists of:
A six axis robot
A spray gun
A robot control system
A system for inputs and outputs control
A system for dates programming/check and auto-diagnosis function.
An industrial computer with supervision tasks.
The programming of a spraying cycle is very simple. The robot learns automatically on line the spraying cycle. It is possible to record a lot of spraying cycles in robot memory.
The most simple way for programming the robot is to use the our station for detecting the quotes. (Search for DIGITIZER).
The path that the spray gun has to follow is simulated by the operator and all the data of trajectory are automatically recorded.
Advantages
Six axes robot allows reaching every point with all possible inclinations; in this way it is possible to apply the painting also in hidden zones that would not be easy to reach with classic manipulator.
Once planned the trajectory points of spraying cycle, it is possible to change the robot speed from point to point: This peculiarity allows reducing (increase) the speed in the particular mould points that need a large (small) quantity of painting.
POSSIBILITY OF RELOADING A PARTICULAR SPRAYING CYCLE THAT HAS BEEN ALREADY SAVED, DIGITIZING A CODE THAT IDENTIFIES THE ARTICLE TO BE SPRAYED.
The advantages of this method are the following:
It is created a file that contains and saves all the type of spraying cycles
In order to accomplish this possibility, it is supplied the software with supervision tasks that takes care about interfacing with the operator and controlling the complete process. A PC is also installed.
