Colloidal silica is the watery dispersoid of silicon dioxide. Its molecular formula can be write mSiO

It can be used widely in industrial productions, such as investment casting, vacuum-formed fibrous shapes, refractory material, inorganic coatings, mold coatings, textile industry, making paper and film, hot-top insulating board, catalyst binder and support, package frictionizing, treatment of carbon products, and enhanced foam rubber. It can also be used as water-purify agent, clarification agent, polishes, reinforcing agent and molecular sieves.
