Main components: 1, 8-cineole (above 80%), camphene, phellandrene, etc.
Properties:
1) Achromatic or yellowish liquid
2) Special aroma of cineole
3) Slight cool scent of camphor and herbs

Extract method: steam distilled from eucalyptus globulus labill, or extracted from leaves and branches of some camphor trees containing cineole and then through refining processing

Use range and dosage:
1) It is stipulated in Chinese "Hygienic Standards for Food Additives in Use" (GB 2760-1996) that, appropriate dosage of the substance can be applied in confecting varieties of foodstuff flavoring essence
2) Stipulated in FEMA, the average reference dosages of the substance employed in different foodstuff are respectively as follows: in soft drink: 1.7mg/kg; beverage: 0.5 - 50mg/kg; confection: 30mg/kg; liquor: 1.0mg/kg; baked and roasted foodstuff: 76mg/kg
3) Actual dosage employment reference: eucalyptus oil has good property of sterilization; therefore it is extensively employed in curatorial products. It can also be used as flavoring agent in lozenge, gum, gargle, toothpaste, air fresher, etc.
