The JFD-03 is a new generation of fireproof caulking material. The material is used
for cable penetration. This packet is often called fireproof pillow, which is
mainly used in the field of power plant, tele - communication, petroleum, petrifaction
industry, building construction as well as shipping boats etc.
When fireproof packets are applied in the electrical cable holes, it can effectively
prevent the fire spreading along the cable, and will reduce the potential for
maximum losses to life and property under such circumstances
Fireproof packet has good ventilated capability and permeability, it acid and alkali
proof, its characteristics include water and oil resistance, light in weight,
and are easy to use.
When it meets the fire, the material inflates rapidly, and forms a layer or barrier
of carbonization to a certain thickness and strength that will resist fire. In
addition, it has the capacity to absorb large amounts of heat, and to release
inert gas in the inflation carbonization process. The material purpose is to provide
fire resistance, heat and smoke insulation, as such it is an ideal product
for cable facility fire protection.
Main technical characteristic and performance:
This product consists of high quality fireproof aggregate, including inflation catalyst,
carbonization, cohesive and firming agent and other chemicals. It has passed
all related national tests (China) (GA161-1997) and has a certificate to this
effect.
Its performance and characters are as below:
1) Appearances: in white fire proof packet, no damage
2) Drop test: dropped from 5m high, no damage
3) Water resistance: put in the water for 3 days, in 20°C room
temperature, no crack, no pulverization
4) Alkali proof: 10%NaOH solution 3 days no change
5) Fireproof limits: ≥180min
6) Bulk density: 0.24-0.26 x 103kg/cbm (0.35-0.4 x 103kg/cbm with
shipping packaging)
7) Packing specifications:
a) Around 24 x 16 x 3cm: 28 bags/box, 25 boxes/cbm
b) Per customers' requirements
Instructions for use of material:
1) Before construction, clean the working area, no greasy dirt, no dust and other
sundry goods, the electric cable is put in order neatly
2) Put the fireproof packets in the holds around the electric cable, seal off the
hole ensuring there are not any gaps
3) When cables pass through the floors or the equipment hole, steel shelves or nets
are needed (must be coated with fireproof coating) to be fixed inside the hole,
the width of the packet placing should not be smaller than 24 centimeters. Install
the fire wall or other fire protection widgets according to the requirements
of the situation at the scene (prohibit the use of wooden stuff or other inflammable
material for cover or shelves)
4 ) For engine rooms, power distribution cabinet, electrical control cabinet, the
floor space should be strictly completely sealed off, sealing area is supposed to
be bigger than the equipment base, 24 cm more along periphery. When the cable
is at the corner or the parting line place under ground, the volume of sealing
should be at least 24 x 24 x 24cm
Attentions:
1) Fireproof packet placing thickness must not be smaller than 24 centimeters
2) Gap between fireproof packet and betJFD-02 organic fire protection to stop the
gap
3) If a fire resistance package is used carelessly in heavy rain or immersed in any
way, it should be dried naturally, it is prohibited to dry or baked the material
in high temperature or exposed to the intense sunshine
4) Fireproof packet should be laid beside a cool and dry place; the storing ambient
temperature should not be higher than 60°C
