Features:
1) Ingredients and concentration: the product is prepared by inoculating the
susceptible cells with weak virulent pseudorabies Bartha K61 strain,
harvesting cell culture and adding suitable stabilizer followed by lyophilization.
Live virus concentration/dose ≥104TCID50
2) Properties: the product appears light yellow spongiform and loose mass in
shape, is easily detached from vial wall and solved rapidly after adding diluent
3) Functions and uses: it is used for prevention of pseudorabies in swine,
cattle and sheep. Firm immunity arises immediately after vaccination with an
immune period of one year
4) Application and dosage:
a) Application: the product is diluted with PBS or special diluent according to
doses indicated on vial label, and injected muscularly
b) Dosages: swine pregnant sows and adult pigs: 2 doses/animal; Piglets
over 3 months old and growers: 1dose/animal; Suckling piglets: first
1/2dose/animal; revaccinate, 1dose/animal after weaning. Cattle: over
one year old: 3 doses /animal; 5~12 months old: 2 doses/animal; 2~4
months old: 1dose/animal; revaccinate, 2 doses/animal after weaning.
Sheep over 4 months old: 1dose/animal
5) Specification: 10 doses/vial, 20 doses/vial, 50 doses/vial
6) Storage:
a) It is effective for 18 months stored at -15°C
b) Production under GMP environment ensures vaccine purity and safety
c) Bartha-K61 is a fine strain pure-cultured with plague-clone techniques
d) The strain is the vaccine strain most widely used in the world and with
best preventive effect, and is the sole standard strain carried in the
national standard
e) Antigen concentrations per dose is twice that of the national standard,
ensuring fine immune effect
f) GE/GI gene deficiency can ensure safety application of the vaccine, and
facilitate differentiation between antibodies induced by the vaccine and
field viruses for Disease surveillance and control
g) The vaccine can induce both high humoral immunity and strong cellular
immunity
h) Immunized sows can have their offspring well protected by maternal
antibody transfer
i) It is safe to pigs of various ages including pregnant sows, replacement
sows and suckling piglets
j) It can by applied by nasal dripping
k) Strong immunity can be produced 6 days after vaccination with an
immune period of one year
7) It is used in the areas at risk, and in infected areas and spots. Beside the
diseased animals, animals without clinical signs can also be subject to
emergent preventive vaccination
8) Pregnant sows are best vaccinated 3~4 weeks before farrowing. The
maternal antibodies in their offspring can last 3-4 weeks. Piglets without
maternal antibodies are first vaccinated one week after farrowing with 0.5
dose and boostered at weaning; Piglets with maternal antibodies are first
vaccinated 2 hours before suckling or vaccinated first at 3~4 weeks old
9) The diluted vaccine must be finished within 2 hours
10) The used vaccine bottles and utensils should be subject to disinfection
treatment
11) Disinfection and sanitary management are very important in animal
houses. Pseudorabies virus can be killed in 1% phenol for 15 minutes
and 1~2% caustic soda can immediately kill the virus
